HOW I PICKED INTEREST IN CODING
My Name is Robinson Ibrahim I studied computer science in Nasarawa state University, in my days as a student I want to be a programmer, I want to be able to code by my self, in my year one 2nd semester a guy came to my school selling a disc on web design and android software, I purchased the disc and copied it to my laptop for future reference
I have skills in painting a human image to look like cartoon, I had couple of images I made that were amazing this are some of the images below.
so I decided to animate this images, this images has to be dynamic and I don’t know how to make images to be dynamic and I don’t have access to data to search through the internet so I went to my laptop to see if I could get a lead on how to create a dynamic image and boom 💥 a video from the disc I saved popped up I loved what I saw even if it wasn’t what I was looking for, I had to start the training from the beginning.
My first program was with HTML. Since I don’t always have access to data, I dare not connect my laptop to the internet else is going to zap out my data, because of that my browser was always showing all of those jargons messages Like you are not connected to the internet and the related messages like that
The first time I did a simple program that displays “Hello world” that changes the looks of my browser and on me as well, I became so happy I did something amazing, I tried to play around with it, I could spend a whole day on my laptop,
I remembered one monday morning I woke up and started trying out some new things; I was supposed to have choir rehearsals by 4pm that same day but I was so busy with what I was doing, I already agreed with myself that once is 3pm I will have my bath and prepare it was 3pm I said once is 3:30 I will have my bath and prepare for rehearsals and before I say jack Robinson is 3:30 I now decided that I can be late with 30mins since the Church is not far, I then decided to have my bath by 4pm and it was 4pm again and am still falling in love with what I was doing, so then I made a decision that I won’t go for rehearsals that day, after-all I’ve been going every time that was how I ended up not going for rehearsals I hardly missed.
when you are passionate about what you do, you hardly get tired I remembered that day I had my bath around 9pm and continued programming and again I set up time for me to go to bed 12am it was 12am and again I shifted the time to 1am, 2am before I knew anything it was 6am in the morning and am still not tired nor feeling sleepy at that point I had to advise myself to get a rest, that’s when I decided to sleep.
If you want to run this course you need to be sure you have passion for it, it was because I had passion for programming that even after 24 hours I still couldn’t get tired.
After perfecting html I had to learn different programming languages, such as php, Java etc on graduation I can proudly say among over 73 computer graduates am one of the best programmers, My course mates had to pay me to design their project application for them, I was able to make some money.
I might not be the best student, I don’t have A’s in all my courses but am surely the best programmer during my time in School.
I tried to enquire the course of learning all of the basics if am to learn from a computer school, I was told that it courses about a hundred and fifty thousand, but God did not allow me to pay that amount of money that is why I have decided to teach the basics of programming all for free.
